It wasn’t hard for me at all! Perhaps because I’m so used to drinking juices and smoothies all of the time anyways that it didn’t seem that different to me. The only time I wanted food was after dinner and night time; I really just wanted something to snack on and it was so hard not to cave and get something to eat.
After the 2 days were over, I didn’t noticed a drastic change, but I did notice little ones. Like how in the mornings when I wake up, my stomach usually hurts a little bit and I’m not hungry right away. But after the detox, I’ve been waking up in the morning with no pains!
I don’t know how it does it – okay, well yes I do – but it’s magical! If you haven’t done a juice or smoothie cleanse, I highly recommend you do one! I think I didn’t notice as much because I eat clean all the time, but if you are a person who eats unhealthy and slacks off, then a detox would be PERFECT to clean out the toxins from your body and make you feel so much better.
Believe me, it will get hard, but just keep pushing through and knowing it’s worth it because you’ll feel awesome afterwards!
Okay, so onto the green juice.
What you’ll need: kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, 1 Macintosh apple, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, mango and water.
I alternated between two different blends of green juices so I’ll give you the recipes for both.
Kale, spinach, 1 Macintosh apple, 2 frozen bananas, 1 cup or more of water.
Spinach, romaine lettuce, 2 frozen bananas, strawberries, pineapple, mango, 1 cup or more of water.
I know they may look gross, but trust me, they were GOOD. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I loved them. It tasted so green and healthy, I could basically feel my insides cleaning itself.
